Fans of Yeld, or anyone who's into absurd fantasy adventures, can now experience the playtest version of Rats with Gats, a fast-paced Story Game where players take on the role of four-foot-tall, gun-toting Pi-Rats: ordinary rats transformed into clever and cunning pirates through the radical power of Math Magic! 

Set in the vast and dangerous oceans of Yeld (from the beloved webcomic Modest Medusa and The Magical Land of Yeld TTRPG), Rats with Gats puts 3 or more players in control of a criminally minded rodent crew with a few simple objectives: get a Gat, steal a Ship, choose a Captain, and commit enough legendary piracy to earn a place in Pi-Rat history.

Using a standard deck of playing cards (all 54 of them), Pi-Rats will face Obstacles, like hot, Loitering Mermaids, or slippery Fish Storms, and overcome Challenges, like sneakin’ through Shipwrecker Graveyards, or cannon battlin’ Fairy Fortresses, as they work to accomplish both their Personal and Crew Objectives. Particularly difficult Challenges may even require the use of Secret Pirate Techniques: powerful skills and talents known only to a worthy few that can be used to overcome any threat to a proper pirate! Players will get to design their very own Secret Pirate Techniques for the Pi-Rat crew to use, and the crazier or more ridiculous the idea, the better!
